Overview

Workspace Alerts notify you when something important happens across your connected ad accounts. Alerts are available on all plans (including Free) and cover four categories:

Accessing Alert Settings

Navigate to Settings → Alerts in the Blueprint sidebar. The alerts page shows all available alert types organized by category, with toggles for each delivery channel.

Delivery Channels

Each alert type supports two delivery channels:

You can enable one or both channels per alert type. Most teams enable email for critical performance alerts and keep system/security alerts in-app only.

Anomaly Detection Pipeline

Blueprint's anomaly detection runs automatically after every data sync. The pipeline works in three stages:

  1. Detection: 16 anomaly detectors analyze your synced data for spend spikes, pacing deviations, quality score drops, wasted search terms, impression share erosion, and more.
  2. Dispatch: Detected anomalies are routed through your alert configuration. If you've enabled email for performance alerts, the anomaly triggers an email. If not, it appears in-app only.
  3. Digest bundling: Anomalies can be bundled into scheduled digests instead of sending individual emails for each detection.

Digest Scheduling

Instead of receiving individual emails for every anomaly, you can configure digest scheduling:

Daily and weekly digests only fire when there are alerts to report. If nothing happened, no email is sent.

Personal Notification Preferences

In addition to workspace-level alert configuration, each team member can control their personal notification preferences from Account Settings → Notifications. This page has 8 preference categories:

Security-critical emails (password resets, email verification, team invitations, member removal notifications) always send regardless of preference settings — these cannot be disabled for safety reasons.

Billing and trial lifecycle emails (subscription confirmed, payment failed, trial reminders) also always send because they're legally required.

Account Protection Alerts

Two special alert types live in the Account Protection category:

These alerts are also configurable from the Recommendation Shield policy panel (Monitoring → Recommendations → Manage Policies). The two systems share the same alert configuration — changes made in either location sync via the same underlying data.

Key Takeaways
  • Workspace Alerts cover four categories — Performance, System, Account Protection, and Security — and are available on all plans including Free.
  • Each alert type supports in-app and email delivery channels that can be enabled independently per alert.
  • Digest scheduling (daily or weekly) bundles alerts into a single email instead of one per detection — digests only fire when there are alerts to report.
  • Account Protection alerts detect external changes in Google Ads and auto-apply re-enablement, integrating directly with Recommendation Shield.
  • Security-critical and billing emails always send regardless of preference settings — they cannot be disabled for safety and legal reasons.
