How Quality Score tracking works
Blueprint captures keyword-level data that Google doesn't retain. Here's what happens behind the scenes.
Snapshot capture
Blueprint captures keyword-level Quality Score snapshots approximately every 3 days via scheduled sync. Each snapshot records the overall QS plus all three components: Expected CTR, Ad Relevance, and Landing Page Experience.
Trend analysis
View QS changes over 7-day, 30-day, 90-day, and 180-day windows. Each period fetches genuinely different data — not just display filtering. The trend chart supports both average QS line view and component percentage stacked area view.
CPC correlation
Blueprint tracks keyword-level CPC alongside Quality Score changes, so you can see exactly how a 2-point QS drop affects your cost-per-click. Campaign-level CPC trends are also charted separately for the full picture.
Everything you see in the Quality Scores dashboard
Quality Score tracking goes far beyond a single number. Here's every view and tool at your disposal.
QS distribution donut
See your entire keyword set broken into 4 buckets: Excellent (8–10), Good (6–7), Fair (4–5), and Poor (1–3). The center shows total keywords tracked.
Component-level tracking
Expected CTR, Ad Relevance, and Landing Page Experience rated as Above Average, Average, or Below Average — each tracked individually over time so you know what to improve.
CPC over time chart
A dedicated chart showing average CPC trends using campaign-level spend-divided-by-clicks data. See how cost trends correlate with QS changes across your account.
Keyword table with 12 columns
Search, sort, and filter across keyword, match type, campaign, account, QS, CPC, all three components, change, and a 14-point sparkline trend.
Server-side pagination
Handles 100K+ keywords per workspace. 25 per page with server-side sorting and null-last ordering across 7 sortable columns.
Match type filtering
Filter by Exact, Phrase, or Broad match types. KPIs, charts, and the keyword table all update together.
Paused keyword toggle
Paused keywords are hidden by default. Toggle them visible with the eye icon — they appear at 50% opacity so you can distinguish active from inactive.
Expandable keyword detail
Click any keyword row to see its QS + 3 components plotted over time on a dual-axis chart (QS left axis, CPC right axis). Spot the exact moment a quality drop started costing you more.
Platform support
Quality Score tracking is currently a Google Ads-only feature. Microsoft Ads has its own Quality Score with the same 3 components, but Blueprint doesn't surface it in the UI yet.

Quality Score FAQ
Google Ads only displays the current Quality Score for each keyword. Historical values are not retained in the Google Ads interface or API. Blueprint fills this gap by capturing snapshots approximately every 3 days, building a historical record that Google doesn't provide.
Approximately every 3 days via a scheduled background sync. Each snapshot records the overall Quality Score plus all three sub-components (Expected CTR, Ad Relevance, Landing Page Experience) for every active keyword in your connected Google Ads accounts.
Currently, Quality Score tracking is Google Ads only. Microsoft Ads has its own Quality Score metric with the same three components, but Blueprint doesn't surface it in the UI yet. Meta Ads does not have a Quality Score concept.
Blueprint tracks keyword-level CPC from QualityScoreSnapshot records alongside QS values. When you expand a keyword row, you see a dual-axis chart plotting QS on the left axis and CPC on the right, so you can identify exactly when and how quality changes affected your costs.
